2026 Open Education Conference

I am looking to connect with people relatively early in their careers and chat with them about what they do in post-secondary education and how they ended up there. If this sounds like you and you also want to chat with other people in a similar position, feel free to contact me! I am interested to hear about other's career goals and what they envision long term. As for me, I have been with BCcampus Open Education since 2019. I started as a co-op student, then became a part-time worker, and now am a full-time permanent employee. I work remotely for BCcampus from Vancouver, British Columbia. I studied writing with a concentration in creative nonfiction at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, and am trained as a copyeditor. I completed the Creative Commons Certificate course for educators in 2022. My main duties concern answering help desk queries and managing the B.C. Open Collection. My interests include crochet, genealogy, writing and editing, publishing, copyright law, and choral singing. I would be happy to talk about any of this!
