This lightning talk introduces the OCTOPUS Project (Open Collaboration for Transformative Open Pedagogy to support Undergraduate Open Science Education), a multilingual, student-generated Open Science glossary designed to make scientific language more accessible and equitable. While the glossary resource has already been developed, it will be implemented in undergraduate science courses where students contribute definitions, translations, and cultural and ethical context. This project leverages open pedagogy to position students as co-creators of knowledge while critically examining inequities in Open Science, including language barriers, authorship, and global access. Attendees will gain insight into how multilingual, student-driven resources can support more inclusive and globally relevant open education practices.
