About me
Eileen Harrington is the Director and Health & Life Sciences Librarian of the Priddy Library at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) in Rockville, MD, an off-campus branch of the University of Maryland, College Park Libraries. One of her many hats is promoting open education at USG and across the University System of Maryland. She has supported several faculty on Maryland Open Source Textbook (M.O.S.T) initiative grants. Previously, she oversaw the Naturalist Center at the California Academy of Sciences. Eileen has been a formal and informal educator both in the United States and in Latin America. Her research interests include health humanities, public engagement with science, alternative food systems, and environmental education.
