The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is a nonpartisan, private charitable foundation that invests in creative thinkers and problem solvers working to ensure that people, communities, and the planet can flourish. Its Education program is focused on providing meaningful educational opportunities that equip students to shape the world they live in. For the past 25 years, the foundation has supported the open education field to bring free and responsive materials to educators and students across the country and around the world, help students have greater agency in shaping their learning, and ensure education remains a public good.
